ZeroFat-targetted fat reduction for women

Print E-mail

Zero Fat is developed for female non surgical fat reduction, removing unwanted localised fatty deposits, tightening baby bellies, muffin tops, double chins, reducing love handles, tuck shop arms and cellulite with our targetted fat reduction program.

A non surgical, non invasive treatment program for women that includes body contouring, skin tightening, and localised fat reduction. The Zero Fat program combines dual radio frequency thermotherapy with other selected treatment, suitable for most areas of your body, including your abdomen, thighs, face, neck and arms.

What is ZeroFat non surgical Fat Reduction

Our treatment program is designed to improve body shape and reduce unwanted localised fat from areas such as your face and neck, upper arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, hips, knees, calves, ankles, baby bellies and male breasts. One of the major benefits over surgical procedures is that the non surgical RF treatments allow your body to regenerate it's own collagen, during and after the treatment for many months to come.

This collagenesis tightens your skin and connective tissue, whilst increasing micro circulation and assisting with your lymphatic drainage.

Zero Fat Reduction is not a substitute for dieting and exercising, and it is not a weight loss procedure. It is extremely effective in tightening skin and reducing fat in areas that just do not respond to traditional weight reduction methods. Several variations of the procedure exist, and by assessing your health, features, and the desired result, your Aesthetica consultant will decide the specific treatment program that is best for you.

How is non surgical Fat Reduction performed?

Using a combination of Bipolar and Unipolar radio frequency your area to be treated is heated to a therapeutic temperature range. A number of passes are performed over the area, maintaining an optimum and predetermined temperature range. This treatment may also include ultrasound and body fllow treatments in conjunction.

This process commences the breakdown and removal of intra cellular waste and unwanted fat from specific, and treated areas of the body.

Treatment areas are mapped out to recontour your shape, aided by accurate photographic record and measurements at each step in the process.

How many ZeroFat treatments will I need?

The average number of treatments is 8 to 12 for maximum results.

ZeroFat treatments can take from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size and number of areas to be treated.

Types of Fat

We have adipose tissue all over the body. This tissue is made of adipocytes (fat cells) whose sole job is to store energy in the form of fat. Body fat distribution differs from person to person. There are generally two types of fat storage: visceral (surrounding organs), or subcutaneous (beneath the skin - about 80% of all body fat (src)).

Gaining Fat

Basic Areas
Women - generally around the buttocks and thighs (gluteofemoral): "pear-shaped".
Men - generally around the abdomen: "apple-shaped".
Note that these are the predominant patterns - but both 'apple' and 'pear' shaped distribution can be found in either gender.

Specific Areas

Knee Fat - often builds up on the inside region of the knees in women.
Upper Arm - Also common in women, fat build up can occur in the middle to upper area of the upper arm - typically covering the tricep area. Some women elect to have arm liposuction procedure to remove fat from this area without the marks caused by surgery.
Abdomen Fat - buildup around the navel area is common in both men and women. It is also one of the few fat deposits that are also found in slim women.
Inner Thigh - Fat storage between the thighs is common in women - but also occurs with men. It is more noticeable in women due to the width of the pelvis that in turn influences the position of the thigh (femur).
Outer Thigh - Sometimes called "Thunder thighs" or "Riding Breeches" - this area is the most likely place for the pitted or 'quilted' appearance of cellulite. This fat concentration also blends with fat tissue on the inner thigh and the buttocks.
Lower Back - This fat concentration often merges with the flanks ( love handles) and buttock area.
Chest Breast - tissue comprises the mammary gland (one's 'endowment') surrounded by fat. Men also have atrophied glands and fat in this area. Both sexes gain fat in this area. In men this can sometimes be mistaken for the condition of gynecomastia - a condition that includes not only fat build up, but growth in gland tissue.

Ethnic Variation

There is considerable research showing that fat distribution varies between ethnic groups. For example Asian adults are more prone to visceral and central obesity than Europeans. Mediterranean women are prone to fat gain in the outer thighs. At ZeroFat we have had great success with fat reduction in all ethnic groups.

Losing Fat

Many people compare subcutaneous fat to the layers of an onion. Rather than disappearing from a particular place, it comes off layer by layer from the whole body. Moreover, the way fat is shed is different from person to person. It tends to go from the most recent place it appeared. If your tummy started gaining first - this will usually be the very last place for the fat to disappear from, particularly if radical dieting has been your preferred option.

With ZeroFat targetted fat reduction, we can help balance out your areas of spot reduction

This is why, for example, a man may complain of getting too thin in the face - and yet still have a small 'spare tire' around his waist. Or a woman may complain of a smaller bust, and yet the hips may have barely moved in inch.

This is further compounded by cellulite. With cellulite tissue, fatty acids are contained in a net of fibrous connective tissue. As fat loss occurs the net becomes compressed - making it difficult for the blood supply to readily remove the fat from these stubborn areas. The ZeroFat program can treat all of these problems effectively.

During weight loss, the following trends have been observed:

Obese men tend to lose more visceral (internal) fat while obese women lose more subcutaneous fat (src).
Exercise seems to result in more subcutaneous fat loss. Diet alone results in more visceral fat loss (and less surface fat loss) (src). This explains how you can lose weight - but not necessarily have any radical change in appearance. ZeroFat cannot reduce visceral fat, yet our dietary and lifestyle management plans assist with visceral fat reduction.

How will I look and feel after my ZeroFat treatments?

You will in most cases see some immediate visible reduction in the treated areas. As most treatments are carried out on a fortnightly basis, you will see the change occuring. Photographic data supports this process.
You will have no discomfort, you may experience some localised redness in the treatment area, this diminishes rapidly. You can return to work straight after your treatment.

How soon will I see results?

Usually patients notice changes within 4 sessions. The average number of treatments is 8 to 12 for maximum results.

We can provide comprehensive programs, tailored specifically for you, including lifestyle management in your personal ZeroFat package.

These complete treatment packages can include BodyFlow, analysis with indirect calorimeter through to V02 max for programmed weight loss and fitness potential, Detoxification, M'lis body wraps, Lymphatic drainage, diet, and exercise programmes. Our physiotherapist, dietitian and personal trainers are available for consultation.

How much does it cost?

ZeroFat price packages vary based on your shape, your desired outcome and number of areas to be treated.

The price varies for different treatments depending on your skin type and condition, but usually is between $200 and $300 per treatment. Usually 6 to 12 treatments are required to achieve the best result.
