What is the RF (Radio Frequency) skin tightening and how does it work?

At Aesthetica we have researched and invested heavily in Radio frequency devices, the latest technology to tackle non surgical facial rejuvenation and areas of the body in need of rejuvenation, including face, cheeks, jowels, arms thighs and tummies, especially after baby tummies that require tightening of lax skin. 

We offer 'one off' treatments using higher dosage mono polar RF (Thermage) and multiple lower dosage treatments (Accent RF) spread out fortnightly for 6-12 treatments, depending on your age and skin condition.

Aesthetica's Accent RF Skin Tightening treatment, developed in Israel, uses unipolar and bipolar radio frequency modalities to heat subcutaneous dermal tissue using various hand pieces emitting RF waves.

The treatment causes the contraction of your existing collagen fibers, encouraging fibroblast migration and promoting new collagen growth, helping to tighten and improve the outer architecture of your skin. By employing multiple sessions we create more collagen production and a longer lasting result, typically 3-5 years if a healthy diet and excercise are maintained.

You’ll see the effects of Aesthetica RF treatment and feel how your skin becomes tighter, smoother, and more elastic.

There is no down time from work with Aesthetica RF treatment (apart from the treatment time itself) and minimal discomfort. It is a walk-in walk-out procedure which takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes, per session.

What can a course of RF Skin Tightening treatments do for me?

The goal of the radio frequency face lift is to restore a more youthful look by helping to reverse the signs of ageing and gravity. The treatment achieves:

Is this treatment right for me?

Every woman or man who would like their face to look younger or smoother without surgery is a candidate for this treatment. A person of practically any age can receive the treatment. Some clients have obvious ageing from mid 30s others do better with deeper lines and laxity not evident till the fifties. There is an advantage to starting a little younger (the forties) and planning an annual budget for maintenance.

What happens during this treatment?

Before the treatment starts the treatment area is lightly coated in oil to make the treatment more comfortable and to increase the hand pieces surface contact with the skin.

There is little discomfort during or after RF Face Lift treatment. There is a definite feeling of warmth in the skin at the area being treated. The hand piece used in treatment has it's own cooling module to help keep the treatment comfortable and the operator can cool the skin immediately when required.

How many treatments are required and how long are they?

We recommend a course of anywhere between 6 to 12 treatments (depending on the areas treated and your skins reaction to the treatment) for the most beneficial results. We also recommend a maintenance treatment approximately every 6 months after your initial treatment course to maintain the results.

How long before I see the results of the treatment?

Many clients have reported changes early in their course after 2 or even 1 radio frequency treatments but it is usual to have 4-6 fortnightly treatments before the results start to manifest.

How much does it cost?

The price varies for different treatments depending on your skin type and condition, but usually is between $200 and $300 per treatment. Anywhere between 6 to 12 treatments can be required to achieve the best results.
