Aesthetica's RF fat reduction and cellulite reduction programs (known as RF FatBlaster and RF CelluliteBlaster respectively) are designed to reduce cellulite, improve body shape and reduce unwanted fat in areas such as the face and neck, upper arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, hips, knees, calves, ankles and male breasts.

RF fat reduction and cellulite reduction is not a substitute for dieting and exercising and it is not a weight loss procedure. It is extremely effective in spot removing fat and treating cellulite in areas that just do not respond to traditional methods such as diet and exercise.

How do radio frequency fat reduction and cellulite reduction treatments work?

Aesthetica's RF fat reduction and cellulite reduction treatments uses unipolar and bipolar radio frequency modalities to heat subcutaneous dermal tissue using a hand piece emitting radio frequency (RF) waves. These RF waves pass about 2 cm into the fatty skin layer causing breakdown of the fat membrane, so fat is released and picked up by the lymphatic system and disposed of by the liver for excretion.

What happens during this treatment?

Before the treatment starts the treatment area is lightly coated in oil to make the treatment more comfortable and to increase the hand pieces surface contact with the skin.
Treatment areas are mapped out to help re-contour your shape, aided by accurate photographic records and measurements that are taken as needed throughout your course of treatments.

A number of passes are performed over the area, maintaining an optimum and predetermined temperature range. This process commences the breakdown and removal of intra-cellular waste and unwanted fat from the areas of the body being treated.

There is little discomfort during or after an RF fat reduction or cellulite treatment. There is a definite feeling of warmth in the skin at the area being treated. You may experience some localized redness in the treatment area, this diminishes rapidly. You can return to work straight after your treatment.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

We recommend anywhere between 8 and 12 treatment session, each session can take from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size and number of areas you wish to have treated.

How long before I see the results of the treatments?

Usually patients notice changes within 4 sessions but depending on how your body responds to the treatments sometimes it can take longer for the results to manifest.
